The MTEA Journal is published three times a year. We are always searching for articles and reports. Please submit your work for publication and recognition. Let people know what you are doing and how you are being successful.

Submission Deadlines:
October 15th (Fall Journal). January 15th (Winter Journal). April 15th (Spring Journal)

Advertising Rates: Full Page: 80 square inches (i.e. 8 x 10) $160 Half Page: 40 square inches (i.e. 4 x 10 or 8 x 5) $110 Quarter Page: 20 square inches (i.e. 4 x 5 or 2 x 10) $90 Third Page: roughly 28 square inches (i.e. 3 x 9, 2.5 x 10) $90

Volume discount: If you submit four ads for an issue, or multiples of four, you will only be charged for three of the four ads. i.e. The smallest ad will be published free of charge if you submit four ads and the smallest two ads will be free if you submit eight, etc.

Our publication reaches technology educators across the state of Minnesota, as well as interested persons in all areas of the United States and Canada. Technology educators appreciate your support and look forward to seeing your adds in our Journals. I am using Microsoft Word as my primary word processing program. I assemble the Journal using Adobe's InDesign. I have the Adobe Creative Suite (CS2 Premier) and should be able to handle virtually any image format that you submit for publication. The MTEA Journal is published in black and white. Color images will be converted to grey scale at the highest possible resolution. Advertisements may be submitted in hard copy or as email attachments (preferred). Please indicate the advertisement size that you wish images to be formatted to. I will resize graphics accordingly. Please supply any contact information that may facilitate this process in the future.

2006:

  • High School Program Excellence Award: David Crummy and Scott Rodby, Monticello HS.
  • The foursome of Eric Waldoch, Tim Pettman, Kelly McQuay, and Gerry Metzler from Jackson Middle School accepted this year's MTEA Middle School Program Excellence Award.
  • The High School Teacher Excellence Award was presented to Steve Ullrich, Lakeville HS.
  • Goeffrey Law, Fred Moore MS, received the Middle School Teacher Excellence Award.
  • The New Teacher Excellence Award was presented to Robert Cahow, Sandburg MS.


2005:

  • Middle/Junior High Teacher Excellence: Dan Lundborg, Northdale Middle School
  • High School Teacher Excellence: Bob Zimmerman, Champlin Park High School

You will find information and forms for applying for the various MTEA/ITEA annual awards in the Winter and/or Spring copies of the MTEA Journal. You can also download Adobe Acrobat PDF files below. You will need to download and install Acrobat Reader in order to view and complete these forms. Acrobat Reader is free!

- Teacher Excellence - (elementary, middle/junior high, and high school levels.)
- New Teacher Excellence - (teaching for 5 years or less.)
- Program Excellence - (elementary, middle/junior high, and high school.)
- Technology Education Undergraduate Excellence (special award to college students, who have not yet completed their certification requirements, that have demonstrated excellence and commitment to the profession.)
- 25 Year - Distinguished Service Award
- Retirement Service Award
- Professional Support - (person or persons demonstrating significant commitment and support for technology education.)
- Professional of the Year Award - (company or company representative that has demonstrated significant commitment and support for technology education.)


Additionally, the MTEA annually sponsors/cosponsors scholarship opportunities, Minnesota State Fair awards for student technology products, and a variety of other special recognition awards.
